Cronomby Dams

Woomelang was once known as Cronomby after a natural waterhole that attracted settlers.  When the railway line arrived the Government constructed earthen dams or tanks as they became known which were cleaned out and joined together and created a popular picnic and fishing spot known as Cronomby Dam.

Woomelang has its own small silo trail, showcasing colorful murals and artwork on the town's silos. Explore the trail to admire the creative displays and capture memorable photos.
